If I have a movie on my Mac Mini (not purchased with iTunes), can I import the movie into iTunes then stream it to my Apple TV?

Also, can you stream from a Mac Mini to iPad? Thanks.

Yes, as long as iTunes can play it, you can access any media (music/movies/TV) in your library via ATV.

You can also stream from your computer to iOS but that requires 3rd party apps (like air video).

You don't need 3rd party apps any more to stream to iOS from iTunes. iTunes Homesharing works very well with iOS devices :)
