Streaming services

Would you prefer watching a given movie, listening to your favorite song/album, on a DVD/CD if the song/album/other content was *not* available via streaming services ?

Or will you just say "no way. Physical media is dead. I'm won't buy physical media" ??

Oh, there is NO WAY I would miss out on something I wanted to hear just because it wasn't available to stream. Some of my favorite songs ever are only on single EPs, etc.

I mean, why WOULDN'T you own your favorite album in physical format, or at least MP3s?

If my favorite song/movie was available for streaming AND i had a copy on hard drive, i would prefer streaming anyday over playing it off a hard drive.... (unless u have valid a reason, bandwidth consumption will put u over the top, slow internet access) etc... however i gather it all depends on the user.

Depends, I don't have room for physical media anymore but I don't like streaming - at least I prefer saving local copies of my music. Films I don't mind streaming but my absolute faves I tend to own in bluray copy if I can get it.

I'd rather stream a movie too. They just waste your hard drive space for being stuff you watch only a few times in your life, especially the stuff you buy through iTunes, etc, which can't be converted down.

I generally only buy older physical media (LPs, laserdiscs) regularly.

When it comes to newer stuff, it's almost exclusively through iTunes. The only new Blu-rays I get are either anime, or collector's editions that come with physical extras (like Marvel's Phase One), if it's a better deal than digital (like the Tim Burton box set that was 7 movies for $20).
