Hey Guys,

I recently bought an AppleTV, and am looking for a good application to stream my video collection. I don't really want to import to iTunes, and do all the conversion work.

Is there a good application on OSX that fits the bill?

Thanks in advance!

+1 for beamer, great app, supports subtitle files and works with formats that you wouldn't expect to work, cut down on my conversion tasks massively

Your 2013 MBP will stream content to your ATV without adding additional software. Just engage the AirPlay icon on your top menu, choose your ATV and you're good to go.

Whatever appears on your MBP will then appear on your television.

Add HippoRemote to your iPhone/iPad to control everything.

I have been really happy with AirVideo HD. Not sure how Beamer works, but AirVideo uses your iDevice as an intermediate for control, which is honestly just fine with me because it works so flawlessly. I'd rather use my idevice for control than my computer and remote.

With Beamer, you can airplay to your ATV directly from your MBP.
With AirVideo HD, you ll need an iOS device to airplay to ATV.

You guys use any streaming app for watching live sport ? I airplay them on my big LCD screen but have some lagging problems.
