Purchased a case from Apple in late Nov 2015, anyway, the bottom left corner cracked and split for no apparent reason. Admittedly i have dropped my phone, but it didn't land on this corner. All it did on that occasion is scuff up the leather on the opposite corner. Whether the impact / shock caused this 3 months down the road is anyone's guess. but anyway point i'm making is it didn't actually land on the corner that developed the stress crack.

Now given the case cost $45, i thought i'd take it back to the Apple store, given its really not that old. But they wouldn't honor a replacement, saying it was just considered regular wear and tear even though it's less than 6months old?

WTF ???????? Anyway, wondering if anyone has seen this issue.

It surprises me that they attributed it to wear and tear given its age and how often I've heard of Apple giving away cases.

Maybe try to catch a different rep/store on another day?

Yes i'm going to just goto a different Apple Store.. I think the guy (apparent manager) down there at the Coconut Point FL was just being an idiot. They pulled up my account to find the original receipt. In the last yr, i've bought 2 cases, 3 maybe 4 iPads, two watches 2 iPhone 6S's. I think i'd say i'm a good Apple Customer.. All he achieved to give him his little power trip, was piss me off and left a bad taste in my mouth about Apple CS. As i said, its probably more down to the individual wanting to power trip more than anything. For what it costs Apple? what a buck maybe ? just replace the stupid case. If it was a $10 from Fleabay i'd of thrown it in the trash, but when you pay a premium you expect a little premium CS. Anyway not crying over it. I've got an el cheapo case to tide me over. I'll just go buy one and then take the faulty one back within the warranty. Shame i didn't get the guys name. Pedantic little **** !
