Does Garageband or Logic Express 8 contain strings and horns? Or is there another program I would need to purchase for that? Thanks

Yes. Can't say they're the best strings/horns ever - Garageband sounds kinda suck. Logic Pro has some decent ones... not sure about Express.

There are many sample packs that you can buy, anything from $200 to $2000 and more. There are always other ways to get them, not that i would condone such activity!
