Hi guys. I hope you can help me, because I am really desperate for an answer since I can't use my iPhone. I tried to update my iOS from 8.3 (with jailbreak and tweaks installed) to 9.0.2 and now after the restore, the phone is stuck at the apple logo and keeps vibrating every 5 seconds. I've tried to restore the iPhone several times tried the volume + button (which didn't work at all). I am currently stuck and helpless. I tried DFU mode reset and everything.

This only happens when i restore my backup. So i thought maybe something from the jailbreak tweaks cause this problem, is there anyway to fix this? Or maybe anything else that fixes this issue.

    This is my tweak list:

    Adblocker 2
    Apex 2
    Appcake
    Appsync Unified
    Aria
    AutoRotateVideos
    BerryC8
    BetterNF
    Calendar for Lockscreen
    Canopy for iOS 8
    Censio
    DataMeter
    Dim
    DismissProgress
    DockShift
    FlipControlCenter
    Forecast
    iFile
    InstaBetter
    InTube 2 (iOS 8)
    Keyboard Accio
    Lockpages
    Locus
    Mail Labeler
    Netflix++
    Notification Killer
    Phantom for Snapchat
    Push for Gmail
    QRC
    QRC for WA
    ReachApp
    seng
    Shazam On Start
    Simplock
    Social Duplicator
    SpotifyDataSwitch
    SwipeAway
    SwipeSelection Prop
    Tabless
    VirtualHome 8
    VolumeBanner
    Watusi

I would have advised using DFU mode and then a restore, but since you say you've tried it already I'll just mention a few things.

With jailbreaks from iOS 7 onwards it's not a good idea to just restore your phone. You end up with bootloops. It's always better to placed your device in DFU mode first and then restore.

You might have also used Cydia Impactor which would have wiped your phone clean and restored you to stock 8.3 and then you could have upgraded.

If you added an OTA upgrade to the mix then all bets are off as to what could happen.

Now, you are saying this only happens if you try to restore from your backup.

What happens if you put the phone in DFU mode, upgrade/restore as new and then restore from your backup? All from within iTunes I would add.

Thanks for the reply.if I tried it I still get the same issue unfortunately.. You're right about the cydia cleanup before updating. But I never heard of the tweak before :(

I just take it for granted and restore my phone. And import my contacts from the cloud. Luckily I made a whatsapp backup in the app itself. But the rest is gone..

Bummer. Yeah I had something similar happen to me. Or rather I should say it happened to Apple.

A month ago I shattered my screen. I didn't have AC+ so I brought it in jailbroken to Apple. I expected them to simply replace the screen at an OoW price. Which they preceded to do. But they demanded I restore my iPhone before they did so.

I explained to the genius that perhaps she should put my phone in DFU mode first. She was rushed so she insisted on simply restoring.

The fact that my iPhone ended up in a bootloop that the 'geniuses' in the back could not figure out how to fix was attributed to the screwed up launch of iOS 9. So, after an hour of waiting Apple replaced the entire phone for the cost of the screen replacement.

All because the first genius wouldn't slow down and listen.

I have gotten into the practice of using DFU mode whenever I have a jailbroken iPhone now. Just makes things easier.
