Hi there, I updated to Mojave a while ago and recently installed windows on a 2nd drive. Using the Boot Camp Control Panel and startup disk was working fine until yesterday. Now I have no video but signal on my HDMI and no signal on my DP. I get chimes and fanspin but that's it. GPU OK is off... My thought is to replace the video card to test, but I don't have any handy and I'll need to purchase one. Would you recommend I start there? Thanks!

what coputer do you have?
what GPU is it?

do you have a second GPU to test with?

have you tyed pulling out the GPU and re sticking it back in, unplug all the power cables to it then re plug them in.

can you try pulling all drives but the osx boot drive and only haveing one display pluged in to the GPU.

I put in my 5770, I have video but I can't start mojave, of course.

I can see the target disk boot menu now.

I can load windows again! But my macos install is pooched. The last thing they did was install some iscsi connector thing. and it just hangs at a full progress bar on the white screen.

Now I'm in trying to navigate the target boot menu blind to access the USB, but somehow I can't strike the USB even though I timed it and counted how many taps to the right to input... I know that holding C boots a dvd, but all guides say use Option and select.

How do you guys select a boot drive blind on this platform?

How are you . .. .

( 1) powering the GPU = cabling ?

( 2) from which GPU port (cables and or adaptors) to which monitor ports ?

( My MSI RX 580 works perfectly in Mojave 10.14.6 )

I politely suggest that you make a Macrumors "signature" .. . . that will save us having to ask you about your system setup every time you post a question.

It's harder to do "Option" boot drive in the blind with Mojave since it takes a bit longer time to discover USB devices. Apple places USB discovery as secondary, so you might have to wait at least 1 to 2min before counting how many taps to select your boot option.

1. a 6pin pcie is connected
2. the WX7100 only has DP, which is going to a monitor via DP

The RX580 displayed video with windows.

I updated my signature, good idea.

Using an HD5770 I'm able to view the boot menu and select Windows and display video on the WX7100.

My remaining problem is to just repair or reinstall Mojave. I feel like I'll need to pull all the drives except the USB to accomplish this or wait a great deal longer while holding Option.

Maybe I'm asking a lot but all I need to do is boot from the USB blind. I am experimenting with scotch tape.
