Hello all,
I just got a call from this friend, who lives in the same house as this girl, who has this 12" iBook (tiger), who has this strange problem.
Her date and time are correct (top right corner).
Al apps however read a fixed date, in this case jan 5 2006.
all photo's imported into iPhoto, her entire skypelog, they all say jan 5 2006, with the correct time of when things happened.
I told her to try a PRAM zap - at which point she admitted having a PC tech guy at her side trying to get in to BIOS to solve the problem.
Nothing changed, so I instructed her to repair permissions... and told her I would have to see the machine in order to try and solve it any further. The permission thing didn't solve it.
I heard the PC tech dude saying something about a bug he found on macfixit, but couldn't find it (except if he thinks she's still running 10.2).
Any ideas of what this could be?
I'll probably get my hands on the iBook on saturday, by which time I would love to see your responses
Cheers all.
