Stuck in Apple logo screen

iPhone 3G with iOS 4.0.1 firmware
Jailbroken with RedSn0w

It had been working fine until this morning when the iPhone is now stuck in the loop of restarting and stuck in the Apple logo screen.

I have tried to hold both the sleep and Home button to reset. But, it just goes back to the same loop.

Since the iPhone does not reach the Passcode screen, it is not even recognized by iTunes. So, I cannot restore it, either.

How should I proceed? Please advise.

put it in DFU Mode and then restore through itunes

I just did that, and it is now restoring from Apple's iOS 4.0.1. 😉
