The wife has a problem with her iPhone 5.

Essentially it's acting like headphones are in the port, despite no headphone being plugged in.

No audio when playing music or on the phone.

Headphones plugged in and all good, but otherwise no ear speaker sound.

Tried plugging unplugging headphones several times. Tried rebooting. I am guessing next step is factory reset? Then restore?

Anyone else experience this issue?

Several threads about this. You might have a hinky headphone jack & need a Genius appointment for replacement. If you can get it looked at before performing all of the additional song & dance, you might save yourself some trouble.

Aha! Pocket lint, a common culprit. I should've asked if you'd blown into the jack with a wee bit of compressed air.

Glad that you got it fixed. :)
