Stuck in the external driver?

I pushed the software in the external dvd-r driver The software stucks. How do I remove it but I don't see it on the desktop screen?

You want to uninstall the software? If so, What software?

There should be a little pinhole in the front of the drive. Push a straightened paper clip in there (carefully) to manually eject it.

The other option (IIRC) was to restart the machine with the left mouse button held down.

I don't have any burner software. Do I download the burner software. Will I see the eject icon?

The eject button should show in your menu bar if the optical device has mounted, no special software needed.

Do this:
- power OFF the Mac
- now, press the power on button
- IMMEDIATELY hold down the mouse button and KEEP HOLDING IT DOWN
- does the disc eject from the drive?
