Stuck in Zhenzhou for 5-6 days..anyone?

I've been watching my UPS it hasn't had any nothing update in over 5-6 days!

This is what I'm seeing:
ZhengZhou,
China 14/11/2017 21:22 Your package is in transit. We're updating plans to schedule your delivery. / The package will be forwarded to a UPS facility in the destination city.

I've read here that it is quite normal. Their tracking system isn't the best. Apparently it gets stuck in China, but in fact...it's much closer.
 
If you have a delivery date try to believe that date regardless of what the tracking says. When my wife and I bought our watches in September hers shipped first but appeared to stay in China all the way until the night before it got delivered which was launch day. Then as my watch made its way here and got to Louisville her tracking caught up. It went from Shanghai to import scan to Louisville all at once. And the rest was history.
 
You can not believe tracking until your device gets scanned in the USA. Likely your device is already stateside but the tracking does not show it. 99.9% of the time it will be delivered on time.
 
my replacement X has been in China 4 days. Says its being delivered today but Im doubtful. Still says Date Tentative.

Ive been paying 2 + weeks for an X but I havent used one yet for a min since my first one on Nov 3 was defective.

Yes, for some reason, UPS is moving a batch of iPhones at snails pace, and unfortunately, I am in that batch (checkout the Apple.com order thread to see other posts about this). Mine was in China for several days. There's nothing you can do but wait. Here's my iPhone's journey (so far):

*IF* it arrives on Monday, 11/21, this journey will have taken a total of 11 days - this is baffling to me since all of my Apple China-to-New York orders in the past have typically taken 5-6 days.
 
Mine is showing stuck in ZhengZhou. UPS isn't showing a delivery date, but Apple is estimating November 24. I'm actually hoping it gets there a day later, because on November 25 the extended period for holiday returns kicks in. Would be useful to have a return window into early January, in case some issue crops up after 14 days.
 
My wife’s X appears to be in this batch. Scan after China is Louisville or possibly AK. If pre-cleared in China than can skip AK. FDX has done this with several items from Apple that I purchased.

Likely a consolidated clearance where they move a bulk load through customs and then they ‘break’ in US for destination cities.

Reviving an old-ish thread here but this trend seems to be continuing, that is, being stuck in China for a bit lol

I ordered an X on 22-NOV from Apple.com. The CC was charged and the order was "shipped" on the 24th. Status on Apple.com is "Shipment In Transit - Delayed". Estimated delivery is December 1st but this has not been updated since the order and is likely wrong.

UPS tracking details have similar stuff folks here have seen already. Arrival scan in ZhengZhou on the 24th. Last update about "Your package is in transit. We're updating plans to schedule your delivery" since early today. :-/

+1 Same for my order as well. Shipped on the 24th but still stuck at updating plans to schedule a delivery. Apple's delivery estimate still hasn't passed, so I'm not going to worry about it until that point.

My expected delivery date was 11/29 and it's sitting in Oakland, CA, 20 miles from me.

I have no idea when it's going to get delivered at this point.

UPS is slacking.

I'm guessing it had something to do with the holiday weekend (even though there isn't "Thanksgiving" outside the U.S. per say, UPS is still a U.S. company). That paired with the extra shipping volume from holiday shopping could have added to the delivery time pretty easily.

Mine left Louisville this morning, but the flight out got delayed. At this point I don't have a delivery date anymore, but I get the feeling that if the Louisville flight wasn't delayed, it would have shown up at my door today. Seems that Apple knew more about UPS and international scheduling than UPS itself does!

Either way, looks like it will arrive before next Tuesday.

Mine should be here today. It got out of Louisville this morning and into Jamaica NY (I'm at eastern Long Island, couple hours from Jamaica). Normally it then goes to my local UPS center but it didn't get into Jamaica until just after 10AM which is way too late for the trucks that leave my local facility. In short, it's delayed again because of the flight out of Louisville that was delayed.

I stopped at UPS this morning to ship out another package and was told they are working tomorrow (Saturday; do they usually?) so if it's not there today, it'll show tomorrow I bet. I have mine being held for pickup and I'll try to grab it from them on my way home today.

Yeah, they usually open a half day on Saturdays. I’m sure the actual operations are 24/7.

No longer convinced it's showing up today. I put in a request to have it held at the local facility. The date and time stamp on that request is in the future (?!) and there has been no movement since supposedly getting into Jamaica NY.
