stuck on apple logo... Help

recently purchased a used iphone, the iphone is stuck on the bootup apple logo with the spinning circle except the spinning circle does not spin it just freezes. the iphone will not go into dfu mode as it does not recognise when i hold the power and home buttons. what can i do?? thanks in advance

Any luck with contacting the seller? Sounds like you were scammed as MANY people are who buy used iPhones. Unless, and I hope not, you're trying to knowingly activate a stolen phone.

Take it you've connected it to iTunes while holding the buttons for DFU? The screen may not reflect DFU mode but the device itself might be doing it.
