Stuck on High Sierra update on MacBook Air

Tried to do update 2019-002 10.13.6 on a MacBook Air, and now it won't get past ~15% on bootup.

Tried Disk Repair (doesn't help), Internet Recovery (fails), Reset PRAM (won't do it).

Online Apple Support is no help, and I am more than 2 hours from the nearest "genius" store.

I have attached an error log.

Suggestions?

I had major problems yesterday installing 2019-003 on my Mac Pro. There were similar issues where disk utility wouldn't work and boot up difficulties. I struggled but eventually managed reinstall the OS.

I worked out my own solution. I have another MacBook Air, so I was able to transplant the SSD long enough to get past the sticking point, and then put it back in the original MBA. The original MBA is still glitchy (must be some hardware issue), but it got me out of a tricky spot.
