Indeed, and my replacement has the same issue in nearly the same spot. Going to have to exchange a second time.

When I got my old Air 4 there were two dead pixels right in the middle of the screen. Took to Apple and they gave me a replacement right away. This shouldn’t happen on expensive devices like these.

Found a stuck red pixel on mine, did not notice it until several days of using it. Not going to go through the hassle of exchanging it since its on the edge and I could potentially get something worst. I have AppleCare+ so I’ll take advantage of the Express Replacement service they offer at some point.

No, doesn’t show up on a black background, at least not visible with my eyes. I initially had my theme set to dark mode which was probably why I never saw it until recently when I changed it to Automatic and noticed it in a white background but you really have to hunt for it, day to day task, you really don’t notice it.
