Stuck with jailbreaking need help!!!

Ok i followed the step by step guide from this website http://www.iclarified.com/entry/index.php?enid=3519 . I was on step 7 and then i did the command + V step and it pasted something but nothing happened....I waited for awhile and the jailbreaking process didn't happen.

What am I do wrong? I have a 2nd generation ipod touch firmware 2.2.1 running on a mac. Please help me worried I messed up!!!

That is old and outdated. Upgrade to 3.0, and then jailbreak with redsn0w, it is dead simple.
