I'm curious, does apple still honor the student developer discount? I know you can purchase the Student ADC for $100 and get alot off if you purchase the more expensive products.

I'm thinking about buying the Student ADC for the $100 and purchasing the 6-core Mac Pro for $2959 (assuming that the 6-Core Mac Pro will cost the same as the BTO 3.33GHz Quad Nehalem of today).

Anyone else doing the same?

Student ADC no longer exists, neither does the discount.

If you google student ADC and follow the links, it DOES exist and still offers 20% off retail!

: sigh :

No, it doesn't. Hit the "Buy Now" button on the student developer page and see what happens.

That's exactly what I did when I bought my early 2008 Mac Pro 8Core. Saved me a ton of money!! :) Shame if they don't do this anymore...
