Student Discount No Longer Applies To AppleCare+ On The 16" MBP?

Does Apple no longer offer a student discount on AppleCare+? Went to the Education Store, enter my new MBP serial number and it shows $399, which is the normal retail price.

It still shows the Education three-year plan as $359, at least when purchased in the HED store with the Mac. You might need to call the AppleCare Admin team.

Yeah, in this case I'm purchasing it separate. The MBP wasn't purchased on the discount as I had a $500 developer credit which wasn't usable with the education discount.

I neglected to add AppleCare+ when I purchased mine through the education store. Last week I spent well over 90 minutes between chat and phone support (being bounced between AppleCare and education store support). The final answer is that the only way to get the education discount is to add it when you purchase the computer. There is no way to get the edu discount on a standalone AppleCare+ purchase.

I would love to find a way to purchase it. After the length of time I spent on hold, getting bounced from rep to rep, etc., I simply gave up.

I was transferred to a person who specifically does AppleCare contracts to get a prorated refund on the Macbook Pro I traded in, at the same time I requested AppleCare with edu discount on the new Macbook and she set it up.

Thank you. This is exactly what I did (canceled old contract on my trade-in and got prorated refund), but didn't think to try to purchase the new contract at the same time. I'll give it another shot.
