If you're a student, it's your last chance to get a free pair of Beats headphones with the purchase of a Mac or iPad Pro this year.

apple-back-to-school-last-chance.jpg

Apple's annual Back to School promotion ends Monday, September 25 in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Singapore.

Apple is offering the choice of a free pair of Beats Solo3, BeatsX, or Powerbeats3 headphones to qualifying students, parents of students, and educators who purchase an eligible Mac, including any new MacBook, MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, iMac, or Mac Pro. Refurbished models are ineligible.

The promotion also offers free BeatsX wireless headphones with the purchase of any new 10.5-inch or 12.9-inch iPad Pro, or students can pay $50 extra for Beats Powerbeats3 or $150 extra for Solo3 wireless headphones. Apple's latest 9.7-inch iPad and iPad mini 4 and refurbished models do not qualify.

The deal is available through Apple's online education store, retail stores, and authorized campus stores, or by calling 1-800-MY-APPLE. Apple's terms and conditions outline full eligibility requirements in each country:
The free Beats are in addition to Apple's education pricing.

The promotion ends Monday, October 2 in participating European countries, including Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and the UK.

In certain participating countries, students are required to verify their enrollment or acceptance in a higher education institution in order to qualify for the promotion. Carousel is now flooded with beats headphones going at half price or less. Impossible to unload them now at a decent price.

I thought about getting this deal but decided to get B&H to price match my .edu discount on my custom built iMac and then save on tax. I’d rather save the money and buy headphones I actually want.

well, if those beats are so good, i'll be buying them anyway if i get some discount on my "school" gear... or maybe spend this "free" money differently. last year's 10% off from iPad pro bough me the 128GB model at the price of the 32GB one, and i got a free apple pencil to it in addition. there ain't no headphones that can _beat_ this deal

I thought about doing this deal to upgrade my iPad Pro, but Apple raised the price by $50. Now I'll wait a bit to find a decent discount.

1. Raise ipad pro price by $50
2. Give free $100 headphones that cost a dollar to make
3. Profit???

Working Adults: Last Week to Get Free Beats With Mac or iPad Pro Purchase
I'm a working adult currently living paycheque to paycheque, but I understand the plight of the college student. They have to work, and go to school, and study. Very few students are your stereotypical trust fund baby. My family paid my first semester's tuition, and that's it. I had to pay for everything else on my own.

It’s not even remotely possible to pay today’s tuition by working part time, so students who don’t have rich parents just end up taking on massive debt, even if they work. Free headphones won’t help much, but hey, every little bit counts I guess.

I don’t whine about not getting promos from countries based in other countries. Not sure why folks feel compelled to do so here.

At least the “me too” entitlement isn’t strictly an American thing.

I just picked up a 13” MacBook Air and Beats wireless Solo 3 for my brother for $900, which is $100 less than an iPhone X

There seems to be a problem with the Education Store. Am I the only one unable to log in? Both the Sign In and Continue as Guest buttons seem to do nothing when I click them.
