I have a macbook pro 14" connected to the Studio Display since it was released without any issues. A few days ago, I noticed that the wifi wasn't working and I thought it was a bad connection. The wifi network shows full bars and when disconnect it from the display, wifi reconnects. If I connect it back to the display, after a few seconds, the wifi drops. The networks are still showing but none will stay connected more than a few seconds. I do have hotspots that I tested with right next to the display and mbp.

Has anyone had this happen before? Hopefully it's an easy fix.

btw, my mbp is on monterey 12.5. My mac mini on 12.4 does not have a problem when connected to the same display.

I had a VPN network issue that wouldn't let me access the internet, which was caused by the Studio Display.

Not sure if it can work for you, but I went to System Settings, go to Network, then click on the eclipses for "set service order", move wifi on top of Studio Display.

If that does not work, you can select Studio Display and choose it to be inactive.

I did move my wifi network to the top but it still drops after a few seconds. I'll check to see if I have a vpn on. I'm hoping the new update for the display might help as well. I'll update tonight when I get home from work. Thank you!

Hi there, same problem here since a couple of days. Without studio display WiFi works perfectly on MacBook Pro M1 Pro. Once I connect the studio display WiFi drops out all the time. Did you find any solution (other than not using the studio display) ? Thanks

I don't have any problem with MacBook Pro m1, but I saw couple of times issue with Mac studio.
Based on my troubleshooting, its to do with Studio display is showing as additional network interface and its conflicting with my work VPN/Virtualization software. I had to clean-up network interfaces it showed up again.

Thanks @jacklivehere - indeed I had multiple entries for wifi, vpn and studio display. wifi is now stable again after deleting the studio display entry.

Studio display still works without this entry ;)
