For years, I have accessed my work system via a virtual environment from my Mac. It's the best of both worlds in that I have a full-screen virtual environment for my company's system, and I can swipe to my Mac desktop in an instant. Most recently, I have been using a 16" MBP with the height-adjustable Apple Studio Display. I love this setup, but my company plans to discontinue virtual access, meaning that I will now have to access the company system only from a Windows laptop that they provide.

What is the best way to keep my current setup most intact? Could I plug a Windows laptop into the Studio Display and have it "just work"? Better yet, is there a switch that I could buy that would allow me to keep both devices plugged in simultaneously and effortlessly switch between them? Or do I need a different display, such as the Samsung S9, which I assume would better accommodate my newly-mixed environment?

It works but you have to manually adjust the brightness with your mac first before you connect to your windows.
