Good day, has anyone managed to get the following setup working on a MacBook Pro M4 Pro: a new XDR display plus an older Studio Display?
Even when I use the notebook in clamshell mode, it only connects to the XDR display. If I want the older Studio Display to start working as well, I have to disconnect the XDR display, connect the older monitor first, and then reconnect the XDR display.
What is also strange is that both monitors only run at 60 Hz. Daisy chaining does not work at all either.
Is this a limitation of the notebook? I thought that since the computer has 3 Thunderbolt 5 ports, it should work.

There's something weird with these displays. I have 3 Studio XDR's and only 2 work unless I swap ports, then those ports stop working and I have to swap again. This is rediculous!

try pls , i dont undersstand in my case why daisy chaining is not working? i saw saome you tube video it was working but iam not sure if non xdr display was version 1 or vs 2

m4 MacBook Air here and I'm unable to get it to display on both Studio Display XDR's no matter what I try...hoping this is a software fix they can put out quickly

Maybe it's because the older gen ASD is TB3 on the back so while your ASD XDR and MBP have TB5 the TB3 might limiting it and the refresh rate.
