Thanks in advance for helping me clarify some questions. Even with the PeachPit book and and Apple resources some review questions get a bit tricky.

Some of these look too much like actual questions from the online test so I'm hoping no one here will answer.

    1. You only need to score 73% to pass the test.
    2. Your score is not posted anywhere nor will it be displayed on your certificate.

??? Doesn't everything look like the actual questions? lol You can pass the test via PeachPit book so naturally it's the same content. But hey, thanks for letting me know these are similar questions :) You just provided more info than these questions did. Thanks!

Anyway, there are only about 10 questions here and I'd like to know the subtle differences especially with regards to system initialization, launchd questions.

I don't care if my score is posted but I do care if I learn the materials thoroughly. Hence the questions.

Well...extremely close on a lot of them! I should know since I took it today. I would think the test is a little different for everyone. Every time I've taken it I'm pretty sure there's questions that aren't worded properly, or, the study sources just have it all wrong.

Good luck and I didn't mean to be a jerk!

No worries. Of course, I mean I HOPE, the questions would be similar to the book! Otherwise we'd be in a lot of trouble! :)

What? The tests are a little different for everyone? That doesn't sound right. The Pearsonvue test is the test and should be the same everywhere in the world. Or do you mean the question order? Like maybe it's randomized?

Did you get your nice certificate with the silver Apple logo? I saw it in Shanghai. It might take a couple weeks. Apparently they're lazy on it and there is a link to directly apply for it. You got ACSP or ACTC? ACTC next?

I don't know if the test varies but that's common practice. The difficulty is supposed to be the same.

Yes, you should get a certificate. I have the ACSP and nothing else is planned.

i'd recommend, if you can spare the couple bucks, take the 10.10 Management and/or 10.10 basic integrations just to get a feel for the types of questions that will probably show up on the 10.10 Support Exam. always is a nice prep for the big tests.

Brian what did you use to prep for the exam? I have the 10.10 Support Essentials and the exam study guide that I am using. My gut tells me that the 10.10 is not too far off from the 10.9 Support Essentials exam. Would you agree with that?

Congrats on the recent pass. I'm currently cramming for the 10.9 Server exam. Gonna take that within the next couple of months and then turn my attention to the 10.10. track......just in time for the 10.11 track. It's a conspiracy.....

I used the Support Essentials book only. Changes from one year to the next aren't drastic.

The test definately varied when I did it, and that was 10.6...... They give you a random set of questions out of a pool of questions.

    Hey Patent...

I'm using ITPro.TV as a resource and it has been incredibly helpful. Also, there is an app called Revise IT (free from App Store) that has many, many test prep questions for ACA exams, ACSP exam, and ACTC exam.

I'm about to take the Mac Management Basics (ACA) exam and then plan to take the ACSP exam within a month or so. Did you pass the exam? Did the Peach Pit books work for you? Were there any other resources that you used?

    Thanks!

The peach pit books helped, so did some of the chapter hands on stuff. and just being familiar with the overall OS is key.
make a bootable image, don't be afraid to break stuff and fix it again.
