there's tons of awesome games to play on powerpc, even older versions of minecraft (up to retail 1.5.2) can run under tiger/leopard

Yes you can with OpenFirmware. I've only done this on my iMac G5, but here's instructions : https://www.morphos-team.net/guide/...USB stick into,likely fail at booting MorphOS.

You can make movies on it. Current versions of iMovie, Final Cut and Final Cut Express won't work, but all three of these apps have PPC versions, and all work well on G4 systems.

You can also use it as an everyday machine for heavy tasks if you don’t mind waiting.
