OK so my fiancee came out with a blinder last nite.

I just has to share and ask what you guys have had said to you.

Well I got home and my fiancee said "I think there is something wrong with my car"

I asked what was wrong and she said it was using more fuel for same miles.

I asked her for more details.

Last week I did xxx miles (forgot number, sorry) on £10 but this week it did less miles for same fuel.

I said but it is not the same amount of fuel.
She said "yes it is, I put £10 in it"

I said yes but fuel went up this week.... her response?
But I still put £10 worth in...

Last week fuel was 111.9 per litre, this week it 113.9 per litre.

It took her another 2 hours to finally realise her error!

we been together 6 years now.
she might not be brightest in all subjects but she has lots good qualities.

she very arty and used run wedding dress shop.
she does flower arranging too.
she can crochet well.
She loving and likes working on my car with me. Not many women do that...

She has some other qualities too, but this is a clean forum...

Lol no way I want out this relationship.

I love her and all her flaws.
We plan to marry.

When we met it's like we known each other for years sort of thing.
We have yet to have an big argument.

Bet few of the members here find their partners doing something thats strange/odd at some point.

Not the brightest, eh?

I also caught her using her iPhone SE as a touch to find her iPhone!

So?

I love her and all her flaws.

You start a thread with a title "stupid comments" from friends and family, - and proceed to make posts such as the following: "she is not the brightest", "I love her for all her flaws"; this is extraordinarily patronising, and the thread title alone is an expression of such ludicrous hyperbole, that one wonders what the attraction is, in the first place, unless you are one of those guys who is secretly pleased when he thinks a girlfriend is what he describes as 'stupid', as it makes him feel quite superior in the relationship.

see post 10, your title along with some of what you have said seems "harsh" , especially for a guy who is about to get married, Thor (God) knows I never saw a flaw in my wife until after a few years, It downed on me how bad she is at making good decisions when I realized she was naive enough to marry ME :p

no she is not stupid.

she just does or comes out with scilly things at times.
I said/done stupid things. I been called an idiot many times.
(ummm, this thread?)

I have not got superiority complex over my partner.

We both met when we where both in a low time of our life and together we are now happy.

I should maybe leave right now and hope door don't hit me on way out.

things on the interweebs are subject to the readers moods , we ALL have our "quirks/flaws" and yeah we all make mistakes that makes us appear not particularly "bright" at times.

I prefer the saying , "Don't let the door hit you where the Lord split you" :p

and chill, no need to leave over some misunderstanding.

Sounds like an honest mistake. We all have brain farts. :)

This situation reminds me of what happened in this video from a few years ago. Anyone seen it before? It's a fun watch.

We aren't afforded the luxury of choosing the woman we fall in love with. My wife is nothing like romanticized ideal woman I thought I would marry. She's prideful, at times overbearing, who's sharp tongue has gotten me into a few beat downs defending her. Despite it all, I love her deeply.
Just make sure you can live with the quirks you find so endearing right now. Because after marriage, the be come annoying idiosyncrasies that makes a man pull his hair out.

I hope she doesn't read this. I find your comments of her rude and condescending. Why are you nitpicking on/making fun of her like that on an open forum? I don't know, but a class act this is not.
just like anything else context matters and who knows you better than your own spouse? mine has read some of my stupidity and she still sticks by me :p

Ever seen that movie 500 Days of Summer?

Well, the first post reminds me of a radio call-in episode.
This woman was saying she drives fast because she figures that being on the road for less time would save gas.
The radio host did not have the wherewithal to point out that fuel efficiency is measured (in the US) in miles per gallon.

People in love do not see flaws and for some of us our partners flaws are what attracts us in the first place. I don't think there's anything about my wife I'd change because if something changed she wouldn't be who she is though I will say her temper has mellowed a bit with age but the steel backbone is still there.

Sounds like a keeper. My wife just lets me know when her car needs filling up! Been married 19 years and she's not been to a petrol pump yet!

Well, if what you have written sketches a truthful tale, she prepares your porridge in the morning; that more than makes up for filling the car with petrol once a week.........
