it's something i never used on my ibook, but would like to use them on my MBP. however, i can't figure out how to use any of the F keys other than what they're assigned to (volume, backlight, etc). how do i do this? the menu shows an up arrow and F-something, but when i press the up arrow and an F key, nothing happens. tried shift, control, apple key, nothing.
a list of helpful keyboard shortcuts would be helpful. i can do the basics like copy/paste/new tabs/escape, etc, but would like some more!

thanks!

Hold down the "Fn" key when pressing a function key.

Go to Mac Help, from the Finder Help menu, and search "shortcuts".
