I'm sure this is a stupid question, but I just got a Touch and I don't see where to find and download apps. In the Itunes store, there's an app store, but it only has two categories: iPhone and iPad. I know some apps work on the Touch and iPhone, but some don't so it doesn't seem right to look there.

The first Google hit for Ipod touch apps is this page: http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/games-and-apps/

But it only lists three categories: games, social networking and entertainment.

Where, oh where, is the main directory of all the Ipod Touch applications?

You open up the iTunes program in your computer, then the app store, and you choose the iPhone category. Finally, you download and sync the apps.

On your Touch, look for App Store icon. Tap it. You'll need to be connected to the internet via WiFi.
