I have stuffit version 9.0.2 and like everytime I unstuff a .stx, the program seems to be unstuffing the "stuff" but then when I open the folder it shows "no items" y? how do I fix this? im on 10.4.2

Duff-Man says....I have heard of this problem although I have not had it myself. Try dropping something (anything) else into that "empty" folder and see if your un-stuff appears...oh yeah!

What do you see in list view?

Can you check the size of the "unstuffed" folder?

Anyway, you're lucky. I upgraded to Tiger, and yesterday I tried to unstuff something, and a warning came up about some Stuffit engine not being there. I also heard that Apple doesn't really include StuffIt in Tiger, so maybe that's why?
It wasn't a difficult problem to fix, but annoying nonetheless.

Another one of those fun little Tiger "surprises". 😉

I've had the same problem unstuffing icon packs. Not good.

Easy to fix according to Allume (repeated here to save someone else the journey there).

The items are there, but the Finder isn't updating. This is supposed to occur only when "Show Item Info" is selected. So either deselect that for the folder or (easier) add something new to the folder which will force it to update.
