I have a three year old macbook. Here are some specs: Model Name: MacBook Model Identifier: MacBook2,1 Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor Speed: 2.16 GHz Number Of Processors: 1 Total Number Of Cores: 2 L2 Cache: 4 MB Memory: 2 GB Bus Speed: 667 MHz My video card is integrated...an intel GMA 950, I think. I've been striving to achieve stutter-free HD playback on my Macbook. I've used NicePlayer, MplayerOSX, Quicktime + Perian and even Boxee. And of course, VLC. All of these players experience stuttering or visual artifacts - particularly during action-intensive parts of the video. I'm considering getting CoreAVC for Windows (Bootcamp) for usage in Media Player Classic. I wish one could use CoreAVC with OS X, but apparently the only player that utilizes that codec on Macs is infamously limited in use. Any tips, recommendations, insights?
