Not sure where or how to ask this, thought maybe some of you tech gurus could point me in the right direction... I have DSL at home with what was SWBELL - now AT&T - I've had it for years and years. My e-mail ends with swbell.net. The incoming mail on the iPhone works great - the outgoing mail server on my account is mail.swbell.net - problem is, unless I'm on my home wireless network - it won't send. The e-mail server rejects anything that doesn't come from my home - so nothing when I'm on EDGE or on another wifi network. I'm sure it's to prevent spam from running through their system - it only recognizes certain ip addresses. I've tried password, secure, SSL, every option - it's just not set up to work. My question is - is there another way or outgoing mailbox I can hit or run through that will still have it appear as though the message came from email@example.com ? I'd still like to use my main mail account that I've used for years. I know I can get the mail from it, how can I get it sent so folks can reply to it. I can use gmail or my .mac account, but I'd really like to use my home account, any ideas???
