Hey MacRumors,

I have several home videos that are approximately 1 hour in length and they are all sermons. I want wanting to add subtitles to these messages so that they can be used around the world in spanish, french and other languages. I downloaded the free MiYu as a subtitle editor, but some of the subtitles ended up halfway in the video. I do own imovie, but I haven't tried that. I NEED lots of help please... ANY advice would be awesome. THANKS PAUL

yes, Martin, they will be posted on Youtube, and Vimeo mostly. I know that Youtube allows subtitles.

Then you may best be served by investigating YT subtitle options.

Software like Movie Captioner for Mac can create the necessary subtitle file(s) that YT will use to display whatever you want.

I'm no expert, but this is the direction I'd be looking in.

The advantage of doing it this way is that you can have one video with many subtitles rather than making one video/language.

HTH.
