Hello,

I'm looking for a free site or utility that allows me to extract the subtitles contained in a video into a readable text file.

Thanks in advance

Without knowing the ORIGIN of said clip there's no way of knowing if that's even possible in that particular case. Only in very rare cases will they actually be embedded (i.e. to the point that you can access them)! E.g. Youtube? Nope. Not if it's not your own video.

Again: without knowing the first thing about the clip, there is no way of knowing. It may or may not work just fine. In which case it's irrelevant what I think.

Still says nothing about whether it has embedded subtitles or not. So you tell me. Is "TunesKit" able to extract any subtitles?? If so, then I'd say any further discussion is extraneous. You have what you want.

In my question I said "extract the subtitles contained in a video".
I thought it was obvious that I was talking about "embedded subtitles".
But sorry about my English, it's not my mother tongue...

It wasn't clear if you were talking theoretically or practically, i.e. if you already had the file or just asking in general.

If it in fact has embedded subtitles then you could for example even use the trial version of Final Cut Pro to extract them as well.
