I have a slight problem. I can't figure out how to disable the subtitles from automatically showing. Does anyone on here know how?

Also, how do I change the volume of audio in the menu?

Any help is appreciated! :)

A) you need to write a script for subtitles on/off and link it to the play movie button. just google "subtitle script DVD Studio Pro" and you find ton of tutorials.

B) Audio - had the same problem last week. To my knowledge, you need to do the volume adjustment in an external editor (e.g. FCP) and then re-import that asset. Stinks.

I was able to make the subtitles, and they work perfectly, but I was wondering what I have to do so they don't show up automatically when I pop in the DVD. I want the subtitles to be there if I want them, not just, they always show. You know? When I play the movie, I want them off, but be able to select them if I want. Sorry I wasn't clear.

That's exactly what I am talking about :p
You need a SCRIPT that tells the DVD when to switch the subtitles on and off. Plus a resume function.
Follow that link - it will explain it all. Good luck!

Make sure that you do not have the "Force Display" option enabled. If you do, select one of the subtitles in the track. Then, in the Inspector palette, uncheck the Force Display checkbox and hit the "Apply to Stream" button to disable forced display on all of the subtitles in the stream.

How did you come upon this thread from four years, and what was the reason to resurrect it?
