I have an ATV4 and each time I use any service (Hulu, Netflix, etc.) subtitles are on by default every time I start a new movie or a new episode. Each time I have to ask Siri to turn them off.

Subtitles are off in the Accessibility settings and I can't find anyone who has a similar issue.

Anyone out there have the same problem or know how to fix it?

Thanks!

I had this issue last night after I used the what did they say feature. They kept coming on with the start of a new episode, even though I turned them off with siri. What worked for me was manually using the remote when the next episode started by swiping down and turning them off. I haven't had them turn on since.

Has anyone found a solution to this, other than a factory reset?

I was able to get my to turn off just by continuing to manually do it. They eventually went away. There is also a subtitle setting in the Settings "app". I think it's under the Audio and Video menu. Try that too.
