Subtitles out of Sync

Hello everyone!
I'm new here, and having some trouble with watching .avi with subtitles!

I use quicktime with Perian.
I was wondering if there was any way of fixing the delay of the subtitles directly from quicktime. I know I can do it when I use msplayer!
Or do I have to have a subtitle editor to do this?
