Subtitling app?

Sorry, i should have explained myself a little bit better.
I'm looking for an application that lets me make and add subtitles to a movie.
I made a movie not in my native language and my little sister can't understand it So i wanted to give her subtitles and let her enjoy the movie.

I would have thought DVD studio pro could do that, aint cheap though
