Hi all,

Popped by an Apple Store recently to check battery status on my S6 44mm SS, since it noticiable haven’t been up to par for a little while, especially when I’ve been travelling with it. Health was 86% before the visit, and 91% after!

In the store they put the battery through a testing procedure to verify if it should be replaced or not, and tada, after the check the health was up to 91%. 😀 I’m not complaining at all, don’t get me wrong! But after that the watch have had even better battery stamina compared to before on a daily basis compared to previous weeks. Just weird, seems like they did some positive magic on the battery. Big thanks Apple 😀.

Anybody else having the same experience or any thoughts?

Big thanks in advance for sharing!

The recent update changed the battery health on my AW6 from 82% to 85%. While some people contend that it's a more accurate representation despite the battery chemistry being the same before and after, the cynical side of me feels that it's a way of reducing the number of battery replacements (which really entails a complete watch replacement). I'm probably going to purchase the next version of the AW anyway so it's not a big deal.

Even at 86% Apple won’t replace your battery. It has to be lower than 80% & then you’ll see “Service Recommend” at Battery Health in Settings. That’s when Apple will replace it.

Yes I know this, and infact, there is more parameters playing in, like number of cycles, which will all be considered when they run their diagnosis test. If the outcome of the diagnosis test is stating replacement of the battery they will do it, otherwise not. But this was not what this thread was about, it was that I came out with 5% extra battery health after the test in the store.
