Sudden Macbook Port issue

Hello All!

Looking for suggestions on troubleshooting to find root cause of issue below, any advice is much appreciated!

Issue: Ports on user macbook pro suddenly don't recognize USB devices ex. usb-a Keyboard & mouse(using USB-C adapter to plugin)

MAC INFO:

MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2020, Four Thunderbolt 3 ports) (MacBookPro16,2) /
Operating System Version:
Big Sur 11.7 (20G817)

Actions taken:
  • Soft and hard reboot of mac
  • SMC and NVRAM reset
  • Tested that USB KB and mouse works on other macbook
  • Tested using different USB-C adapters
