I haven't used my Mac mini M2 for a while, today I logged in and noticed it was giving me an account error in the Calendar, where I have my outlook.com calendar synced. I tried to sign in and now for some reason it just won't let me. This is the error it gives which is super unhelpful!

That link doesn't give any useful information either!
Any idea how to get around this?!

EDIT I can't even sign in to Outlook on Safari, I get the same message! I can sign in on Chrome, so I'm tempted to blame Apple somehow..?!

I had previously signed into an outlook.com on my M3 MacBook Air and don't remember having issues. Since then I had turned off syncing with all of its services (email, calendar etc). When I switched on a service just now I had to authenticate via the Microsoft Authenticator app. It all worked and syncing seems to be fine.

I also tried signing in via Firefox and Safari and both worked.

Are you using the Microsoft Authenticator app?

No, I use the Authenticator for my work email, which is not Outlook.. I don't know how I would use it for my personal outlook.com email though!

It says when I look it up that I need to go to my security page account.microsoft.com/security but I can't log into that page as I just get exactly the same error as in my screenshot in the first post 😂
