    Hello,

I do not know how to establish such a poll, but I had the idea, why not collect desired features and look how many would desire them. For what reason? Well I know apple doesn't bother about user wishes, but why not do it for selfinterest.

    My desired features/options:

    24" display
    (x) yes (_) no

    16:10 display
    (x) yes (_) no

    1920x1200
    (x) yes (_) no

2(!)x firewire ports (well they then should not limits one anothers bandwidth, as was with the fw800+fw400 in the early 2008 models)
    (x) yes (_) no

    eSATA
    (x) yes (if no USB 3.0) (_) no

    USB 3.0
    (x) yes (if no eSATA) (_) no

    hdmi instead of DVI
    (_) yes (x) no

I hope you are not annoyed by my childish attempt.

PS: USB 3.0 and SATA-III would perhaps be a problem since the 1156 P55-Motherboards do not offer that effective. (it is said that on "normal" PCs the use of USB3/SATA3 cuts back PCIe lanes for the graphics cards. is that the same for Macs?)

    Look at the bottom of the page when you post a topic and you'll see an option to create a poll. :) Btw though;

    24" display
    (_) yes (x) no

    16:10 display
    (_) yes (x) no

    1920x1200
    (_) yes (x) no

2(!)x firewire ports (well they then should not limits one anothers bandwidth, as was with the fw800+fw400 in the early 2008 models)
    (_) yes (x) no

    eSATA
(_) yes (if no USB 3.0) (x) no

    USB 3.0
(_) yes (if no eSATA) (x) no

I'd prefer Light Peak replace all of these.

    hdmi instead of DVI
    (x) yes (_) no

Seems like we disagree on just about everything. :D

Oh thanks, will do that next time ;)

    Well, no problem!

I forgot about light peak. Of course I would appreciate this, but since my hardware (8channel audio-interface) is firewire and I would not like to spend money in new hardware, firewire is still a need for me. (my desired setup: audio-interface via fw and external drive via fw).

I would choose 16:10 over 16:9, 'cause I like it better for work and is a compromise between a more ideal work-monitor and 16:9 entertainment-monitor. :)

    Same for 24": compromise between small office-monitor and 27" Movie-monitor ;)

Edit: Yippee, I found out that you can add polls afterwards.
