My dad is buying a new computer and he is sick of PCs. His last one failed due to some crazy virus. So, I told him about Macs and he said, "Find me a good one that will have everything I need and I'll think about it."

So, I would also like some feedback to see what more experienced Mac users think.
I was pointing him in the direction of the 2.4GHz iMac but then I remembered he needs to be able to take it home and back to work again so I was thinking a MacBook Pro.
However, I hear that a new, faster Mac Mini is coming out and he already has external monitors and peripherals at both his office and home so he would only really need to take the actual computer.

    Here are his requirements:

-Word Processing (Microsoft Word and PowerPoint are the two he needs)
-He has about 50GB of music and an ever growing CD collection
-E-Mail---a lot of e-mail (I told him about the Mail app so I am good there)
-Has to be able to take quick notes on it such as at a lecture
-Has to be able to run a program called Practice Partner (for patient charts)

I think that that's about it.
Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.

There's really no reason why he'd need a MBP. Have him get the mid-range MacBook!
