My cMP is finally coming to live and I am looking to get nice monitor for it. I am doing mainly graphic design / rendering / color work, so that's why I recon IPS would be the better choice. I am NOT gaming, so response time is not an issue for me.

I want to pick up a used monitor, 27" under $500. Currently have my eyes on the Dell P2715Q which seems like a nice 4k monitor within my price range and offering full resolution at 60Hz.

I am currently typing this on a 2013 27" iMac, but it's really terrible for color grading, color spaces etc. I'll use a Geforce GTX Titan 12G.

Any recommendations for some good used 4k monitors that fit my requirements?

I got a Dell UltraSharp U2713HM 27 for £175 from ebay to use with my 5,1 2010 Mac Pro. Not 4k but it is an IPS panel, calibrates OK and is a good size. I think the newer models of the Ultrasharps and presumably the 4k Dells will be good bang for buck.
I do print graphic design and photo editing. Eventually I'll upgrade to an NEC Spectraview and a new Mac.
I find retina type screens aren't perfect for photo editing if you need to see actual pixels due to the zoom factor (100% in Photoshop is too small, 200% you are interpolating), but they do look great!
When I was in house it was all Eizos, but they weren't 4k.
