I bought the Samsung UN65JS8500 4K SUHD, from a Refurb dealer in the Sears marketplace a few months ago. This TV was rated very high considering it was released in 2015 or 2016?. When I did my research, the only difference between this and the new model KS is the Bluetooth, and a little better HDR.

Other than those two features the TV is mostly the same as this years model. Also because of price matching, and price guarantees, I got a pretty good deal.

There is a lot of considerations to take into account when buying a new TV. Size, resolution, display tech, HDR etc.

In my opinion there is no sense in getting a 4k TV if you are going to go cheap because the devil is in the details especially when it comes to things like HDR.

Another consideration is its intended purpose. If you are going to be gaming on a TV it needs to have as low of input lag as possible. This is often overlooked by 4k TV buyers and can render a game virtually unplayable or at the very least put you at a serious disadvantage.

I bought an SUHD because I needed curved and found a great deal. What I really wanted was Panasonic.
