Hi

Recently bought my first MBP (and loving it) from Amazon Marketplace. The seller has sent me RAM to upgrade the machine and requested I send the old RAM back to him. Which is fine, only thing is, he claims he has sent me two sticks of 4gb of RAM, however they look like 512mb?

This is all the information on the sticks:
Hynix
Korea 04
512MB 2Rx16 PC2-5300S-555-12
HYMO564S64CP6-Y5 AB 0721

I was hoping somebody who knows anything about RAM might be able to tell me how much memory these sticks have as they seem to be 512mb, which would mean he is lying... :(

If anyone could provide any help I would love them for it.

On the fence
You are correct, those are definitely 512MB, and will not even fit in your computer, as it isn't the right type either. So either the seller sent you the wrong RAM, or they are trying to scam you.
