This is an interesting behind-the-scenes look at what really happened between Sun and Google when Google was developing Android.

Even with second or third hand stories like that, there's different degress of being "pissed".

At least Google keeps Java in the limelight, which is worth tons in free advertising and programmer availability.

Contrast that to how Sun must've felt when Jobs kicked them in the teeth by saying in an early 2007 iPhone interview that:

"Java’s not worth building in [to the phone]. Nobody uses Java anymore. It’s this big heavyweight ball and chain."

Worse, a year later when Sun did start to create a JVM for the iPhone with the new SDK, Apple spurned them again and refused to help or allow it.

    EXACTLY.

not supporting something is WAYYY better than THEFT (Google).

Jonathan Schwartz seemed happy enough with it.
