iPod touch Super Dim Backlight.

So even though my settings says the brightness is all the way up the backlight is super dim. I just whent through a restore and nothing changed. I havent dropped it, from a high height and never had water damage. It's a iPod touch with a build number of 8C148, any ideas?

This happened to my 2nd gen and I had to replace the screen, it was >$20 on ebay.

If you want to you can open up the device and replace the screen. Ifixit has good directions
