setting up iPhone 6s+ right now fresh and all my downloads are taking forever. Definitely not my internet connection. Anyone else running at snail speed?

Yep, songs are taking forever to download. I also lost my entire Apple Music library.

Not so much with the store but I'm trying to download watchos2 on the 6s+ and it's taking three hours

I'm restoring my son's phone onto his handmedown iPhone 6 and it's taking forever. Apple took away the ability to sync the installed apps on the phone to the iTunes library in iOS9. This was a major plus to me over the other platform. Huge step backward.

Could be the other 10 million people trying to setup and restore their phones/apps too

Same thing the day iOS9 was released.

For me it's been like this for a week now. Download speeds are AWFULLY slow from Apple servers. It's so bad that I can't listen to one song without it stopping to buffer. Had to update my new 6s Plus to 9.1, took hours, app downloads take forever too. Downloading watchOS 2 took over 7 hours.

And what happened in the last week to 10 days? iOS9 millions rushed to upgrade and restore all of their apps, then 9.0.1 released and the same a few days later- a rush to upgrade and restore apps (for some who didnt do OTA), and then the 6S/6S+ just 2 days ago where everyone once again rushed to restore all of their apps.

There's nothing to fret about things will return to normal in a week or 2.

So what you're saying is: It's okay that I can't stream one song from Apple Music that I pay for because too many people use Apple's servers?

I have the same issue with my iPhone 6 since the official launch of iOS 9. App downloads and updates are awfully slow. It seems to be much faster if I download them in iTunes on the Mac and sync them to the phone.

I switched several times between 9.0.1 and 9.1 Beta 2 in the last days, because cellular data seems not to work with 9.1 and my carrier. Every time I have done this, some updates which were already installed showed up again in the App Store.

That happened first as I updated from 9.1 Beta 1 to Beta 2. I read here that this was not only an update issue, because nearly everyone experienced this on launch day of 9.0.1, even if they did not update from an older version. Why is this still happening?

And people paid for apps who can't download them/updates, and new phones that they can't restore or update the OS. You songs are no more important to be frank.

The point is the server load will go down in a few days. This is to be expected around this time of year with an OS update and a new device selling 10 million in days.

Having the exact same issue today.

Apple Music, single song takes forever to download. App Store took about 30 min to update Instagram.

No issue before today.

I kept trying and all go a sudden things flew and then stopped again.

I tried downloading a playlist of Apple Music songs of about 100. First attempt after 15 min it was at 90. I went on airplane mode and turned on wifi and tried again it was all done in 10 min. Thinking that was the fix i tried updafing an app on App Store and it was at 3% done after 10 min.

I can't explain it
