I've been running OS X El Cap since it came out (public beta, not DP), but recently it has started taking almost three times as long to shut down/restart, or it just refuses to shut down all together. I've tried resetting PRAM, multiple times, and it worked for a little while, but then it stops shutting down again. We get to the black screen with the loading icon spinning around, which is does (it's not frozen or anything), and then nothing. I've had to force shut it down to use BootCamp many times now, and I know that that isn't very "healthy" for any computer, so I was wondering if anyone else is having the same problem, and what can be done to fix it? UPDATE: I've realised the problem is only when OS X El Cap shuts down, not Windows 8.1 Pro. From Windows to OS X is fine, but the opposite is not. Does that change anything?
