I have a Mid 2010 MacBook Pro, I installed the Yosemite beta and it was fine, then after one of the beta updates all of a sudden it became really slow.

I hoped after the final installation came out it would make it better, but unfortunately it hasn't.
It takes forever just to move the mouse, let alone open applications.
Finally, I can't boot into recovery or safe mode or anything as it just won't let me.

Any ideas? :-/

Someone else with a mid 2010 MBP said repairing permissions helped speed up their system after the update.
