Superdrive clicking noise?

In addition to the standard motorized noise, My superdrive in my Macbook Pro clicks loudly three times on feeding a disk, and once on ejecting.

To be honest, I wasn't expecting this loud of a noise, and I'm worrying that the superdrive may be bad. I purchased this machine used a month or so ago, so I don't have a lot of experience with macs.
It seems to be working OK.

Is this noise normal?

If your noise doesnt really sound like the ones listed, you should call AppleCare and ask. Does the computer have any warranty? What model exactly?

Yes, it sounds exactly like that. I guess there is nothing wrong. It's just kind of unexpected.

PS - it's a "macbook pro 3,1" according to the about box. 🙂
